Madrid III

There is not much more to be said about today than it rained. We got out for a while after doing our last load of laundry, bought the paper, had coffee and went to Corte Ingles to buy me a new umbrella, replacing the “windproof” Eddie Bauer brolly that was half-shredded in a breezy Paris. The rain changed its behavior and started coming down in buckets just as we left the store (brilliant timing) and so we headed home which was thankfully not far.
Instead of a day wandering around we had a day watching it pour from the dry security of our flat. It’s been an interesting trip by way of this weather, we really haven’t been prevented from doing anything we wanted to do but we’ve been wet more than a couple of times.

Ah well, perhaps a small price to pay for having it at least be cool.
